I strongly protest against the illegal construction of residential and commercial high rise buildings across Karachi without proper planning, parking facilities, water supply arrangements, sewerage infrastructure or safety measures. These buildings are rapidly turning residential neighborhoods into overcrowded concrete jungles, causing unbearable traffic congestion, water shortages, sewage overflow and serious risks to human lives. Last but not least, the sale and purchase of flats in such buildings are often carried out merely through simple stamp paper agreements without proper registration, leaving citizens vulnerable to fraud. The authorities must immediately launch a strict crackdown against illegal constructions, hold responsible officials accountable and ensure transparent implementation of building laws before this urban disaster becomes irreversible.
