DIR: Cheques worth Rs12 million were distributed among police personnel here on Wednesday.District Police Officer (DPO), Upper Dir, Aslam Nawaz distributed welfare cheques at a ceremony at the Police Lines.
The event, focused on the transparent distribution of police welfare funds, was attended by several senior officers, including SP Investigation Muhammad Ilyas Khan, DSP Headquarters Shah Faisal Khan, and SDPO Circle Dir Musharraf Khan. Police personnel suffering from serious illnesses such as cancer and kidney disease were also present. Speaking on the occasion, DPO Aslam Nawaz said the ceremony was organized in line with the vision and directives of IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, RPO Malakand Syed Fida Hassan Shah, and the DIG Welfare.
During the ceremony, cross-cheques totaling Rs 6.3 million were distributed among more than 170 police personnel and their families. The breakdown included Rs 3.76 million for medical assistance, Rs 1.85 million for educational scholarships, and Rs 690,000 under child support funds.
