LAHORE:A 40-yearold man was shot dead allegedly by his stepbrother after a domestic dispute in the Sherakot area.Police said an argument between Arsalan and Yousaf near Wasa Mor in Gulshan-e-Ravi turned violent, during which Arsalan opened fire, killing Yousaf on the spot.
Body recovered from canal
Body of an unidentified man, believed to be around 40, was recovered from the BRB Canal in Hayer Pind Sawa. Rescue teams retrieved the body using divers after receiving an emergency call. Police have taken custody of the body.
Biker arrested in deadly hit-and-run
Police have arrested a motorcyclist involved in a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a 65-yearold man.
The suspect had struck the elderly pedestrian, identified as Zubair, while he was crossing a road a few days ago.The injured man was shifted to hospital but later he died. Shalimar police traced the suspect using CCTV footage and identified him as Umair. He was arrested from the Hair police station area.A case was registered against the accused.
Security guard held in assault case
Sattu Katla police arrested a security guard for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a woman in the area.The incident occurred when the woman was returning home after completing her duty. The suspect, identified as Salman, who worked as a security guard, forcibly took her to a nursery and tried to rape her. The woman raised an alarm, causing the accused to panic and flee the scene.Police launched a search operation and arrested Salman. A case was registered against him.
Two found dead
Two men were found dead in separate incidents.Police recovered the body of 60-yearold Saboor from a residential quarter in Wahdat Colony. Officials said the body was three to four days old. In another incident, a 40-yearold unidentified man was found dead near Kahna police station. Police suspect he was a drug addict.Both bodies were shifted to morgue.
