The Karachi International Books & EdTech Fair (KIBTF) 2026 began at the Karachi Expo Centre on Friday. The opening day witnessed an overwhelming response, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of academic excellence and technological advancement.
Organised in collaboration with M-Tech Systems, Urdu Academy Sindh and Orbit Advertising, this three-day event brings together the worlds of traditional literature and modern technology under one roof.
A major highlight of the fair is Robothon 3.0, in which a large number of students enthusiastically participated in robotics competitions on the very first day, showcasing their creativity and technical skills.
The inaugural day also featured a series of insightful sessions led by renowned educational experts, policymakers and authors, covering a wide range of topics, including AI and the future of education, STEAM in learning, the single national curriculum, education journalism, history, emerging technologies and teacher-training workshops.
According to KIBTF organisers, over 200 stalls featuring books and advanced digital educational tools were established, offering a rich learning experience for visitors. They said that more than 75 national and international organisations are showcasing their innovative services and educational solutions.
They said that a dedicated Live Robot Making zone has also been established where visitors are gaining hands-on experience in building and programming robots.
