Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has welcomed the ceasefire deal between the United States and Iran, describing it as a positive and timely development for regional peace and stability.

In a statement issued to the media on Wednesday, Shah paid tribute to the diplomatic successes of the Pakistani leadership in the wake of the US-Iran ceasefire deal. He said war is never a solution to any problem, with dialogue and negotiations remaining the only path to lasting peace. Pakistan seeks peace and stability in the region, he added.

He stressed that the region needs negotiations and diplomacy instead of war. He pointed out that Pakistan’s top leadership played a prominent role on the diplomatic front. He said President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir’s efforts are highly commendable. Peace and diplomacy are the only means through which Pakistan can strengthen its standing globally, he added.

He also said Pakistan has always played a positive and responsible role in promoting peace in the region. This diplomatic progress will further strengthen Pakistan’s credibility at the international level, he added. He hoped this development would pave the way for durable and lasting peace.

He urged all parties to resolve their differences through dialogue and negotiations. He said Pakistan remains actively engaged, alongside the international community, in efforts to promote peace.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to play its constructive role for regional stability. He said peace is the greatest strength, and its preservation is our greatest success. Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Transport & Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon also described the US-Iran ceasefire deal as a welcome step toward peace, and praised the efforts of all the parties involved in achieving an immediate halt to hostilities.

In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Memon said the world needs dialogue, not destruction, adding that wisdom, not war, offers real solutions to problems. He said progress on the ceasefire can pave the way for lasting stability and prosperity in the region.
