Islamabad: Patron-in-Chief of the Azerbaijan Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry and former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari stated that Pakistan’s effective and timely diplomatic efforts, which led to a two-week temporary pause in regional tensions, represent a positive and encouraging step towards global peace, says a press release.
He expressed optimism that the expected Iran-US talks in Islamabad will play a key role in establishing lasting peace in the region.In his statement, he said that Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif’s prudent strategy and timely decisions were instrumental in achieving this important development, while Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s support in line with national policy, strategic foresight, and efforts for regional stability are also highly commendable. He added that strong coordination between the political and military leadership has further strengthened Pakistan’s image as a responsible, effective, and peace-loving state on the global stage.
Ahsan Bakhtawari noted that the willingness shown by US President Donald Trump and the leadership of Iran to agree on a temporary ceasefire is a positive sign that reflects the importance of diplomatic dialogue.
