Three die in Punjab rain-related incidents

LAHORE:At least three people were killed and 17 others injured in various rain and wind-related incidents across Punjab over the past 24 hours.

Punjab Rescue spokesperson said the casualties were reported in incidents involving collapsing roofs, walls and other structures. In Bhakkar, a person lost his life and four others were injured in two separate incidents of roof collapse. In Khanewal, two individuals were injured after a roof caved in.

Two people were injured in Muzaffargarh in separate incidents involving a roof collapse and a slip during rainfall. In Sargodha, a room wall collapsed, injuring one person and killing livestock.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, five people were injured when a hotel shed collapsed. Meanwhile, in Taunsa Sharif, one person died and two others were injured in two separate roof collapse incidents. In Toba Tek Singh, a person was electrocuted.
