KHAR: Police solved a blind murder case of a man and arrested the accused through technical investigation, officials said on Thursday.

They said the victim, Ibrahim, a resident of Tot Shah Tangi, was murdered on the 5th of the current month. Initially, they said, the case remained completely untraced, posing a significant challenge for investigators. However, the investigation team, utilizing modern scientific techniques and advanced technology, managed to crack the case within a short period.

Officials revealed that the suspect attempted to destroy evidence by pouring petrol on the victim’s body and setting it on fire, further complicating the investigation.

Taking strict notice of the incident, District Police Officer Bajaur, Muhammad Khalid, formed a special investigation team under the supervision of SP Investigation Naveed Iqbal. The team included DSP Khar Abdul Aziz, SHO Khar Gulzada, Investigation Officer Islamuddin, and In-charge of the district police technical team Shahzaib Hassan.

Through tireless efforts, technical analysis, surveillance of suspects, and the use of modern investigative methods, the team traced the accused. During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect was the victim’s neighbour. Preliminary findings suggest that the motive behind the murder was the suspect’s interest in the victim’s fiancée.
