LAHORE:A couple was found dead and their two children were discovered unconscious in a house in Ahmed Park near Mohni Road in Data Darbar area, police said here on Wednesday.
According to an Edhi spokesperson, the deceased were identified as 38-year-old Azad Hussain and his 35-year-old wife Pakeeza. Police suspected the deaths may have occurred due to suffocation. Two children, eight-year-old Khizar Abbas and six-year-old Hurr Abbas, were found unconscious and shifted to hospital.
Initial investigation suggested the incident may have been linked to fumes from a chemical manufacturing unit located above the house. Police arrested the owner of the factory and started legal proceedings.SP City Bilal Ahmad said investigation is underway while all aspects of the case are being examined.
