PESHAWAR: Prof Dr Muhammad Mushtaq has taken charge as the regular Medical Director of Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) as the hospital was operating under an acting MD for months.
He was selected for a five-year term from eight faculty members across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Dr Mushtaq, who has over 25 years of experience, is a specialist in advanced facial trauma, pathology surgery, esthetic procedures, and temporomandibular joint surgery. His administrative background included human resource management, hospital information systems, procurement, facility management, and litigation handling. He also served as Resident Medical Officer, Principal Staff Officer, and officiating Hospital Director during interim periods.
His appointment is expected to strengthen both clinical services and the hospital’s administrative framework.
