Gold rates up Rs3,700 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices increased by Rs3,700 per tola on Saturday in the local market following an increase in international rates.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, 24-karat gold rates reached Rs473,262 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs3,172 to Rs405,745.

Gold rates increased by $37 to $4,509 per ounce in the international market.

Typically, gold prices in the local market are adjusted by a premium of $20 against rates in the international market. Silver rates increased by Rs270 to Rs8,465 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver rates also rose by Rs232 to Rs7,257.
