MINGORA: Khpal Kor Model School, an institution dedicated to the education and support of orphaned and underprivileged children, came alive this week with vibrant colours, scientific curiosity and artistic expression as students showcased their talent at the annual Science, Arts and Culture Exhibition.
The school’s courtyard and classrooms were transformed into a lively display arena, where students presented the hard work they had carried out throughout the year. From scientific models to cultural stalls, each corner reflected the children’s dedication, creativity and passion for learning.
Teachers and administrators said the exhibition provided a rare opportunity for students to bring their classroom lessons to life. “The children work hard all year. This is the moment when they express what they have learned. We try our best to give them the platform they deserve,” said an organiser, praising the students for their effort and skills. Another teacher added that the students had demonstrated their abilities by preparing impressive models.
Among the stalls, science projects attracted particular attention. Interactive models of the human heart and lungs, respiratory and circulatory systems offered visitors a clear, practical understanding of how the human body functions. Parents and guests were impressed by the students’ ability to explain complex concepts with such clarity.
Children also set up cultural and tourism-themed stalls, including one dedicated to trekking and hiking in Swat. The students displayed posters highlighting the region’s natural beauty and archaeological heritage. “We want people to know how beautiful Swat is,” said a young participant.
