Meaningful change rarely happens in isolation. Across industries and communities, the exchange of ideas, experiences and opportunities can often be the catalyst for new partnerships and lasting impact. It was this spirit of connection and collaboration that shaped the 37th Ladiesfund Power Gathering, which brought together some of Pakistan’s most influential women leaders alongside senior diplomatic representation for an afternoon of dialogue, networking and new possibilities.
Hosted by Tara Uzra Dawood, the gathering welcomed leading entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, diplomats, artists, policymakers and changemakers, including Acting British Deputy High Commissioner Tom Burge as Chief Guest. Among the distinguished guests were Nasreen Jalil, Khushbakht Shujat, Ameena Saiyid, Arjumand Rahim, Nighat Misbah, Shamaeel Ansari, Nabila Bano, Angie Marshall, Laeeq Akbar, Sadiah Pal and many other accomplished women leaders.
“I was delighted to discuss governance and entrepreneurship with a diverse group of Pakistani female leaders. We agreed on the importance of supportive women’s networks within development across Pakistan and on the role of collaboration with international partners in supporting female leadership.” said Tom Burge, Acting British Deputy High Commissioner.
“Ladiesfund was founded on a simple belief: that extraordinary things happen when exceptional women are brought together. Every Power gathering creates trusted relationships that lead to mentorship, business partnerships, philanthropy, public service and opportunities that continue long after it ends,” reflected Tara.
Now in its 37th edition, the Power series has become a long-running platform connecting women. The gathering continues to encourage conversations that translate into mentorship, collaboration and new opportunities across sectors and generations.
Senator Nasreen Jalil described the gathering as an opportunity to strengthen women’s leadership and create valuable connections across generations, while Senator Khushbakht Shujat highlighted its welcoming environment for accomplished women to exchange ideas and contribute to Pakistan.
For many attendees, the afternoon was ultimately about the power of connection. “Women empowering women is more than a slogan, it is something you truly experience here. Every gathering leaves you motivated and connected to an extraordinary network.” shared makeup artist Nighat Misbah of Depilex, who was also the beauty partner of the event.
Visual artist Shanzay K Subzwari added, “This a rare opportunity to connect with inspiring women from every walk of life. Every conversation has the potential to spark a new idea, collaboration, or lifelong friendship.”
With its continued focus on bringing together women from diverse fields and generations, the gathering reaffirmed the value of creating spaces where leadership is shared, ideas are exchanged and meaningful relationships can flourish.
