Representing Pakistan

In professional fields tied to energy, policy and international cooperation, recognition is often shaped through structured international programmes that bring together practitioners from different regions. These programmes are designed to encourage exchange between emerging leaders, strengthen institutional understanding and support collaboration on shared global challenges. Selection into such forums generally reflects prior work, consistent engagement and demonstrated leadership potential within one’s sector.

Against this backdrop, Tara Uzra Dawood has been selected to represent Pakistan as an emerging leader in the global energy sector after completing the Austrian Leadership Programme in Vienna. The programme convenes professionals from various countries who have shown commitment to innovation, sustainability and international collaboration, with a focus on practical leadership in evolving global contexts.

Tara Uzra Dawood, Founder of LadiesFund Energy Pvt. Ltd., has been working in the energy and development space with a focus on investment, innovation and expanding opportunities for women in leadership roles. Her work has centred on encouraging inclusive participation within the sector and supporting initiatives linked to sustainable growth and long-term development.

In an official statement, Austria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs congratulated her on the completion of the programme. Georg Lack, Department Head, stated, “We at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extend our congratulations to Tara on successfully completing the Austrian Leadership Programme. In recognition of her outstanding potential and achievements, she has been selected to represent Pakistan as an emerging leader in the energy sector.
