WHEN THE RED CARPET GETS IT RIGHT

Award shows have always doubled as fashion playgrounds, where celebrities experiment, refine and set the tone for what feels current. They offer inspiration, not through excess, but through intention and personal style choices. This year, the Lux Style Awards delivered exactly that. Whether it was clean silhouettes, thoughtful colour choices or confident takes on modern tailoring, the celebrities reminded us that great fashion lies in knowing what works for you and wearing it well. Each look carried its own mood, yet together they painted a picture of elegance that felt relevant, wearable and rooted in individuality rather than trends alone. This week, You! takes inspiration from these standout red carpet moments and breaks down the looks that got it right…

Iqra Aziz kept it soft, graceful and completely her. She stepped onto the red carpet in a yellow off-shoulder maxi gown that celebrated her glow in the most natural way. The silhouette hugged her baby bump beautifully, making the look feel warm and joyful rather than styled for effect. With her hair pulled back into a neat bun and makeup kept fresh and minimal, everything about this look felt effortless. It was polished without being heavy and genuinely lovely to see.

Hania Aamir leaned into youthful elegance and it suited her perfectly. She wore a white bodycon dress detailed with delicate pearls along the neckline, keeping the look light, playful and refined all at once. The silhouette was simple, but the detailing gave it a soft, almost dreamy feel. Paired with a sleek black wig and pink-toned, subtly glittered makeup, the styling stayed minimal and clean. It felt fresh, easy and very in tune with her personality.

Sanam Saeed kept things sharp, minimal and commanding. She wore an all-black ensemble with a structured blazer-style top paired with fluid, wide-leg trousers, creating a silhouette that felt strong yet effortless. The tailoring did all the work, letting the monochrome palette feel intentional rather than severe. Bold metallic jewellery added just the right contrast, while her makeup stayed refined and luminous. Finished with sleek hair and confident poise, the overall look felt timeless, powerful and perfectly suited to a high-fashion red carpet.

Mawra kept it classy and clean, and it worked so well. Her whole look felt elegant without trying too hard, the kind of styling that looks timeless the moment you see it. The black tuxedo had just the right hint of bling and the silk belt cinched it in so perfectly it looked custom-made. The black silk skirt underneath added a modern edge and grounded the outfit beautifully. It was smart and stylish.

Kinza Hashmi went bold and unapologetic and it paid off. The black blazer brought a strong, tailored edge, while the heavily detailed skirt added drama and texture underneath. It was a confident mix of sharp and ornate that stood out instantly. The gold accents and structured shoulders gave the look authority and the styling tied it together in a way that felt fashion-forward rather than chaotic. It was risky, yes, but it worked because she owned it.

Hemayal kept it glamorous yet balanced and the look came together beautifully. The gold and silver gown had enough sparkle to feel red-carpet ready without tipping into overdone territory. The fitted bodice gave the outfit structure, while the shimmering skirt flowed effortlessly and photographed really well. The short embellished overlay added a polished finish, making the whole look feel thoughtfully styled rather than flashy. Everything about this outfit felt intentional and well put together.

Maya Ali kept things sleek and elegant and the simplicity worked in her favour. The tangerine gown had a sculpted, fluid silhouette that sat beautifully on her frame, with soft draping that added movement without distraction. The textured neck detail gave the dress just enough edge while keeping it refined. The colour suited her perfectly and the clean styling let the dress do all the work. It was graceful, confident and very easy on the eyes.
